Managing Matter Controller integration
In BETA access
There are a couple of useful options that you have with your Matter Controller integration and with the connected Matter devices.
Table of contents
Change Matter device settings
You can see and change Matter device settings by clicking the Configure
button next to the Matter device.
View Matter device connection history
View the connection history of the Matter device by clicking the Configure
button next to your Matter device and then click Connection History
. This can help you diagnose any potential issues with the device or confirm that it is within range and always connected.
Share Matter device with other Matter compatible apps
Matter enables you to control the same device from multiple apps all at the same time. If you want to share your Matter device with other Matter compatible apps such as Apple Home, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, Amazon Alexa, etc. you can click the Configure
button next to the Matter device, then Turn On Pairing Mode
and follow the instructions. A pairing QR code will pop up. You can use your favorite Matter app to scan the QR code and add the Matter device to it.
Now both 1Home Server as well as any other Matter app that you have paired has access to your Matter device.
View Matter device details
You can see more details about the physical Matter device through which this device is connected.
In the image below you can see that this humidity sensor was detected on the Eve Weather physical Matter device.
Manage integration
To manage the Matter Controller integration as a whole, go under Integrations -> Matter Controller
.
Here you can see the status of the integration, restart it as well as see and manage all physical Matter devices that are connected to this 1Home Server. For example if you have paired a Philips Hue bridge, you will see it here as one entry and you will be able to view how many bridged devices we have detected on it. In the example below, we have detected two devices on the Eve Weather sensors. If you would click on it, you would see that those devices are a temperature and a humidity sensors.
