Processing of Personal Data when using our Products and Services

We process your personal data, such as your name and email, to keep you informed about 1Home features, new technologies, and special offers.

To provide support and assist you with setting up your smart home system, we use data such as your email as well as smart home usage logs in case of the Bridge. You can also authorize your installer to manage your smart home remotely, in which case your email, smart home configuration, and usage data may be shared for this purpose.

This data is processed based on your consent in accordance with Article 6(b) of the GDPR. You may revoke your consent at any time, and usage logs are automatically deleted after 30 days. We store your data only as long as your account remains active. Additionally, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, as well as request its transfer (data portability).

Data Stored in the Owner's Cloud

- 1Home Server

We store data from your 1Home Server device, including the current device version, hardware details (e.g., serial number, MAC address), and IP address. This data is necessary to enable automatic updates.

During the optional automatic ETS device detection process, your ETS project file (.knxproj) is temporarily extracted to our cloud. This extracted metadata is automatically deleted after 1 hour. You may choose to allow permanent storage of this ETS metadata to help improve our algorithms. This option is presented during each upload to the automatic ETS detection feature.

If you connect your 1Home Server to the 1Home Remote Dashboard (remote.1home.io), we store a list of remote projects that have access to your 1Home Server, as well as the history of who accessed the Server and when (no data from the actual session is stored or processed).

- 1Home Bridge

We store data from your 1Home Bridge device, including the current device version, hardware details (e.g., serial number, MAC address), the configuration of your smart home, your login details, your ETS project file (.knxproj), the IP address, as well as execution logs to assist you when you need our support.

When you use Alexa, Google, or Sonos with your smart home, your actions are processed through our servers, but they are not stored. The only data that is logged is what is necessary for providing support and deleted after 30 days. In contrast, the actions that you make using the Apple Home app are made locally on the 1Home Bridge.

Data Collected in the Owner's Cloud

- 1Home Remote Dashboard (remote.1home.io)

We collect and store your email address, first name, last name, and manually entered project details. Additionally, we maintain a history of remote connection sessions to your 1Home Server, allowing you to monitor access via the Remote Dashboard.

- My 1Home Dashboard (my.1home.io)

In addition to your email address, first name, last name, and manually entered project details, we store the configuration of your smart home.

Data Retention Policy

We follow a transparent data retention policy based on the principle of data minimization:

  • Error logs and diagnostics are deleted after 30 days.
