Introducing the 1Home Server: A New Chapter in Privacy-Focused Smart Home Technology

First and foremost, we wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to you, our dedicated supporters. Your trust, loyalty, and consistent support in our journey have been the driving force behind our innovations and the 1Home brand's growth. Without you, we wouldn't be where we are today.

We embarked on our journey in 2017, pioneering cloud-based smart home solutions to address a growing need for making smart homes smarter through voice control. We strived to make your homes smarter, safer, and more efficient, making life a little bit easier for you.

Our journey began with a cloud-based solution, which marked a revolutionary step in making voice controlled smart homes accessible to everyone. This solution was designed with an emphasis on ease of installation for non technical users, use, and adaptability, allowing homeowners to transform their homes into Starship Enterprise easily and quickly.

However, we have been acutely aware of the growing concern for data privacy and security, and this is a concern we share. We understand the importance of privacy in the comfort of your own home, and we believe that a truly smart home is one that ensures your privacy is not compromised. In 2020 we released 1Home Bridge which enabled a completely local control with Apple Home while still requiring the cloud for Amazon Alexa and Google Home integration.

So, we listened to your feedback, rolled up our sleeves, and went back to the drawing board. We have spent the last 2 years developing the new hardware platform with software that runs completely locally  and on the other side is powerful enough to house any future extensions of a modern smart home we can imagine right now. Due to hardware component shortages in the past 2 years we also bought a large stock of critical components in advance so we are now in the position to soon release our new baby into the world.

We're proud to say that the 1Home Server is a fully local, privacy-focused solution that runs directly on your home network. No longer will your data have to leave the comfort of your home to reach a cloud server (except for the temporary access that you want to have for an integrator - to do any changes remotely); everything is processed locally on your own server. With the 1Home Server, you can enjoy the convenience of multiple smart home environments like Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa (coming soon), Samsung SmartThings (coming soon) and Home Assistant (coming soon) with low latency and local integration via Matter.

It comes coupled with a 1Home advanced logic module that enables you to setup complex automation in a simple way (coming later this year), secure remote ETS programming connection, and direct integration of 100s of Matter certified IoT devices to 1Home (coming February) which can be used in a custom logic module together with KNX devices as if they were a part of the same system.

1Home Server is powerful, reliable, secure, and the first in the world to bring KNX into the Matter smart home environment. The device was designed from the ground up with both pro users and professional installers in mind.
