2024 At 1Home
With 2024 now in the rearview mirror, we are inviting you on a short stroll down memory lane!
Here are some of the highlights from each month of the past year:
January
In 2024 we wanted to mingle on as many international smart home shows as possible. We wasted no time and started straight away by visiting the Intersec Expo in Dubai!
February
As is tradition by now, the ISE fair never gets left out of our calendar. Satja Lumbar had the best time forming new connections in sunny Barcelona.
March
Light+Building 2024
This year marked the first time we’ve arrived at Light + Building not only as visitors - but as exhibitors! Designing our own booth and creating an awesome experience for smart home integrators was a challenge, but it was worth every hour we put into it! And of course, we have to give kudos to the 1Home boys on the show floor - bringing high energy from dusk till dawn.
Start of Server for Loxone Shipping
Another achievement we reached in March was the start of shipping 1Home Server for Loxone which was announced in November the previous year.
April
April was the month of the biggest feature launch since July ‘23. We revealed our very own, spankin’ brand new logic module: 1Home Automations.

1Home Server KNX and Server KNX Pro Update
In May the 1Home Server family expanded further with the 1Home Server splitting into three variants: 1Home Server KNX, 1Home Server KNX Pro, and 1Home Server Loxone
Smart Home Expo India
We also joined our partners Morion Automation at their booth at the Smart Home Expo in Mumbai, India.
June / July / August
While some were spending their summer relaxing, the 1Home team was hard at work: development, internal demos, testing… and lots of coffee.
September
In September it was time for another excursion: Satja and Rok visited IFA Berlin, one of the biggest consumer electronics shows in the world!
October
In October we took the time to strengthen the team bond a bit, with an adventurous teambuilding deep below the ground, exploring an abandoned mine with kayaks! Then we took to the skies on the longest zipline in Europe!
On another note, we also celebrated 5000 followers on LinkedIn! 🥳
November
November was one of the most eventful months of the year.
1Home Matter Controller Launch
First and foremost it was the month we launched the most awaited feature of 1Home Server yet: the 1Home Matter Controller. But that was not all! We also introduced a sneaky surprise: the 1Home Mobile App. With this, the full feature set of 1Home Server was completed making it into a fully rounded smart brain for your smart home ;)
Smart Home Fairs
We also traveled quite a bit. First, we joined our Turkish partners at Light + Intelligent Building Istanbul. Then Satja went to Romania to preach the gospel of Matter at the The Smart Home Summit 📣
1Home Lab
On the content front, we brewed up a new video series, 1Home Lab, where we explore and test different smart home ideas and automations. We look forward to creating even more fun (and helpful) content for you in 2025.

New Language Addition
Lastly, we've made 1Home even more accessible by introducing an Italian language option on our website, dashboard, and app!
December
In December we are not slowing down. The team is preparing for an exciting year ahead - with new releases right around the corner. Here's what our CEO has to share:
Another year is over and I can confirm that time flies when you are having fun. Seems like only yesterday I have joined 1Home but I am already embarking on my 4th year here. Looking back at 2024 we can't gloss over the fact that it was all about the 1Home Server. We were polishing and shipping features that we already teased in late 2023 (like the 1Home Automations and the 1Home Matter Controller) but also brought new surprises for our users (like the 1Home App for iOS/Android). We now have a fully fledged smart home Server with variants for both KNX and Loxone. I want to personally thank all the 1Home Server users & partners - thank you for trusting us early on, for being patient, for using the device and for working with us to make it incrementally better with each passing day. For 2025 we have some truly great things in store. There's going to be lots of new updates for the 1Home Server, a new 1Home Server variant (codenamed CH, hint hint) and a totally new, Matter-only product for system integrators. We are truly excited to continue this journey of making intelligent & comprehensive smart homes for everyone. I wish you a happy & successful 2025!
