iRobot Introduces Roomba Combo 10 Max with Matter
iRobot's new Roomba Combo 10 Max combines vacuuming and mopping with an advanced AutoWash Dock that self-cleans and refills. It uses Enhanced Dirt Detectβ’ Technology and supports the Matter smart home protocol for Apple Home compatibility. Voice control is available through Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant. The device will be Matter-enabled by Q4 2024.
Samsung's SmartThings Pro Expands Rapidly in South Korea
Samsung's new SmartThings Pro has received over 200,000 applications from South Korean households and businesses. The high-end version of SmartThings, designed for enterprises, is being deployed in apartment and office complexes. It manages various devices and systems, including air conditioners, blinds, elevators, and security cameras. The platform also features AI-driven energy-saving capabilities and a 3D Map View for easy monitoring of smart home and office devices.
ThorBolt's New HomeKit Smart Lock with Fingerprint
ThorBolt's new MK1 latch bolt lock supports HomeKit over Thread, featuring an integrated fingerprint reader and keypad. This third-generation lock is compatible with Apple Home but interestingly, not Matter. It runs on four AA batteries with a 12-month battery life and is set to launch in late August, with pricing yet to be announced.
Flic Buttons Add Matter Control with New Hub Update
The Flic Hub now supports Matter devices through a new beta firmware update. This integration allows Flic Buttons to control Matter-certified lamps and smart plugs. Future updates will enable broader Matter command capabilities.
